Fawkes is a futurist that believes empowered communities are resilient communities. He promotes futures literacy because the skills it teaches are essential for becoming empowered to act. It provides an avenue to break from convention and work collaboratively imagining many possible futures, and how we could respond to them. This provides agency and empowerment by including all voices in discussions about how we act today to build a tomorrow that supports us all.
